Peptide dosing calculator

Pick a peptide and we will suggest how much bacteriostatic water to add, then show the exact units to draw on an insulin syringe. Vial sizes come from our catalog. This is arithmetic for laboratory research — not dosing or medical advice.

Your vial

Search for a peptide above to load its vial sizes, or enter your own numbers.

Vial size

Suggested reconstitution

Add 4 ml of bacteriostatic water to land on 10 units — an easy number to read on the barrel.

1,000 mcg

1 mg = 1,000 mcg. A U-100 syringe reads 100 units to 1 ml.

How this was calculated

Three steps, worked through with the numbers you entered above. Change any input and these update with it.

  1. 1. Concentration

Dissolving the powder in bacteriostatic water spreads a known amount of peptide through a known volume of liquid. That ratio is the concentration, and every later step reads off it.

Concentration (mcg/ml) = vial amount (mcg) ÷ water (ml)

    10,000 mcg ÷ 2 ml = 5,000 mcg/ml

Your 10 mg vial holds 10,000 mcg — 1 mg is 1,000 mcg.

  2. 2. Volume per draw

Divide the amount you want per draw by the concentration to get how much liquid carries it.

Volume (ml) = amount per draw (mcg) ÷ concentration (mcg/ml)

    250 mcg ÷ 5,000 mcg/ml = 0.05 ml

  3. 3. Syringe units

Insulin syringes are graduated in units, not millilitres. A U-100 barrel reads 100 units to 1 ml, so multiplying the volume by 100 gives the mark to draw to.

    Units = volume (ml) × 100

    0.05 ml × 100 = 5 units
